What is APL
An adventure best shared
APL (Around the Perimeter of Lithuania) is a seven-day enduro and adventure motorcycle journey around Lithuania along the state border, organised by the Lithuanian Enduro Club (VšĮ „Enduro klubas“). It commemorates King Mindaugas's coronation – the Day of the Lithuanian State. Around a hundred riders join every year.
It's not a race and not extreme enduro. It's a route we ride together – and stories we keep telling long after the finish.
The people
We ride in teams. Seasoned enduro riders and first-timers, old friends and people who just met – all on the same road.
The evenings
A new camp every day: dinner, campfire, repairs and stories about what happened on the road.
To be honest: some sections – especially on the Traditional route – will be a challenge. The sand, ruts, mud and changing weather are real. That's exactly when your team comes in.
Two formats
Which APL route suits me?
Both formats ride the same border region, in teams, on a GPX track. The difference is the terrain, technical difficulty and the bikes.

01 · Enduro
Traditional APL
A route as close to the border as it gets – through forests, fields, sandy stretches and gravel. Each day reveals a different border landscape. We ride in teams, at our own pace, helping each other. Riding solo? We'll match you with other solo riders or an existing team.
What to expect & how to prepare
Good to know: around 300 km a day (up to 450 km on the longest), with sand, ruts, mud and water crossings, and all kinds of weather. Some sections need off-road skills and decent fitness. Not extreme enduro – but not an easy cruise either.

02 · Adventure
Gravel-Discovery APL
The APL adventure for bigger adventure bikes. The route largely follows the Traditional one but skips the most technical sections – more gravel, harder ground and points of interest worth stopping for.
What to expect & how to prepare
Good to know: easier than Traditional – but not easy. Around 300 km a day (up to 450 km on the longest), changing surfaces, light off-road and unpredictable weather.

The journey
Seven riding days
From June 26 to July 2. Every evening a different overnight stop somewhere in Lithuania – from campsites to rural homesteads. Fuel stops are marked on the route for refuelling and a snack. Each day card links to that day’s official 2026 and 2025 video.

What is APL?
APL (Around the Perimeter of Lithuania) is an annual seven-day enduro and adventure motorcycle journey around Lithuania, as close to the state border as possible (~2000 km). It's not a race: riders travel in teams on a GPX track approved by the State Border Guard Service and camp at a different place each night. It's organised by the Lithuanian Enduro Club; 2027 is the 24th edition.
When and where is APL 2027?
June 26 – July 2, 2027. Start and finish are in Medininkai (Vilnius district); the route follows the entire Lithuanian border, and the half-APL changeover is at the seaside on June 29. There are two formats: Traditional (enduro) and Gravel-Discovery (adventure).
I'm a beginner – should I sign up?
Yes. Mark your experience in the registration form and we'll match you with a team at your level. If you're unsure about the format, choose Gravel-Discovery or write to us.
I don't have a team. Can I join?
Of course. Most riders sign up alone. We split everyone into teams by ability and similar bike type.
Why can't I ride alone?
For safety, off-road we always ride in groups. If something happens, one team member helps while another meets the support vehicle. And a stuck bike is far easier to pull out together.
Which format should I choose?
If you have off-road experience and know how sand differs from gravel – choose Traditional. If your bike is big or brand new, you'd like to ride two-up, or you're more into sights along the way – choose Gravel-Discovery. Compare the formats in the table.
Can I ride with a passenger?
If you're riding two-up, we recommend the Gravel-Discovery format.
Can I ride only part of APL?
Yes – choose a Half APL ticket: the first half from Medininkai to the seaside, or the second from the seaside back to Medininkai. The changeover at the seaside is on June 29.
What if my bike breaks down?
Small fixes on the road and evening repairs at camp are part of APL life, and your team always helps. Recovering a broken-down bike isn't included, though, so have a backup plan.
